DIGILABS TECHTANK
8 online courses for grades 3–12, built on real, retired hardware and explored virtually — teardowns, data security, AI infrastructure, and more.
Every unit opens with three free activities — a video, a concept read and a quick check — before the interactive virtual lab unlocks.

Virtually explore real laptops and phones, piece by piece. Learn what's copper, what's gold, what's hazardous.

The data centers behind every prompt: hardware, energy, materials, and where it ends up.

NIST 800-88 sanitization, chain of custody, and the compliance paperwork real businesses use.

Terminal, GPIO and Python labs building to a real capstone — no hardware required to start.
Curiosity about technology shows up everywhere — in every neighborhood, every school, every kind of kid. What isn't everywhere is the chance to act on it: a device you're allowed to open, someone to explain what's inside, a path from “that's interesting” to “that could be my job.”
So we built a course anyone can start. No lab, no expensive kit, no prior experience, no assumption about who's a “tech kid.” A phone or a school Chromebook is enough. Lessons read aloud for students who'd rather listen, a placement check so nobody is bored or lost, and real industry work — teardowns, data security, AI infrastructure, repair and resale — taught in plain language from the first unit.
The goal isn't to turn every student into an engineer. It's to make sure the ones who would love this work find out in time.
Read the ManifestoThe problem: certifications like CompTIA A+ assume 12–18 months of hands-on experience a high school student has no way to get — and the official material is dense and expensive before you know if you even like this work.
What we do: build the vocabulary and the conceptual footing first — hardware, data center operations, how AI runs, data sanitization — so a student steps into help desk, repair or sysadmin work already knowing what the words mean.
Students finish with a digital portfolio of real documented work and a certificate of completion per course. We're not affiliated with CompTIA and don't issue their credentials — we get a student ready to pursue one.
The devices students virtually explore in our courses are the same real, retired enterprise hardware our sister company DigiLabs ITAD processes every day. A curriculum company can't get those. A recycler can't teach them.
Have old tech to recycle or destroy data on? That's handled by DigiLabs ITAD, our certified e-waste and data-destruction arm.
Technology coloring books, crosswords and curriculum packs. Free sample pages to try, full books as digital or physical copies.
